Barrels or “Pieces” as they are known in Burgundy vary in volume from one region to another because of tradition & the local history of wine making.

In Burgundy a piece holds 228 litres.  After a long maturation in ex bourbon oak casks the Tullibardine 228 Burgundy Cask Finish was re-casked into 228 litre Burgundy barrels from the world famous Chateau de Chassagne-Montrachet.

This produces a delightful ruby colour which follows with vanilla, light chocolate flavours, creamy richness & hints of red summer fruit.
